Wes is a Lieutenant Colonel and Squadron Commander with the United States Air Force Auxiliary. He has been a "search and rescue" pilot and has flown missions for government agencies including the United States Customs Department and the United States Forest Service/Drug Enforcement Agency. Wes holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate.

Wes has also appeared before committees of the Arizona State House of Representatives and the Arizona State Senate of matters which affect the appropriation of funds coming through military channels for the benefit of the citizens of the Great State of Arizona.
